Founded in 1981, SPARC (School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community) is a non-profit performing-arts organization, providing professional theater arts education to youth between the ages of 5-18. Through a series of semester-based voice, dance, and acting classes; summer camps; in-school SOL-compliant classes; and playwriting and poetry recitation contests and workshops, SPARC helps young people become better students, more confident speakers, team players, active community members, and future leaders. Whether or not a professional career is in your future, the skills learned in SPARC classes and programs stay with you forever.

Our mission:  SPARC inspires young people to reach their full potential through quality training in the performing arts.
